Kharoll-Ann Souffrant is a doctoral candidate in social work at the University of Ottawa. Her research interests lie at the intersection of disciplines such as law, criminology, victimology, critical analysis of media discourses, feminist and anti-racist social movements, and social work. She is also interested in the meanings given to justice by victim-survivors of sexual violence, Black studies in Quebec and Canada, and social intervention with racialized populations in both the health and social services network and in the community setting.

As an intervener and social worker, she has several years of experience with various populations, including women fleeing violence.

She is also a news columnist every two Mondays for Noovo Info since 2021 and has a feminist column published in the social and political journal À Bâbord! since 2020.

To learn more about my position as a doctoral researcher and lecturer, I invite you to read this short text: Conjuguer sa liberté à celle de la relève (In French only) for the ACFAS Magazine.
